Pure creativity

He left Chile when he was 20 years old and went to Spain to see the world and learn gastronomy. His initial plans had to do with cooking, but the pastry shop got in his way. He studied at the Hoffman school in Barcelona and completed his training with courses at Espai Sucre, école nationale supérieure de pâtisserie in France, and Italy among others.



He has grown professionally making the most of his time with the greatest pastry professionals such as Carles Mampel, at the Bubó pastry shop.

During his time at the El Bulli restaurant (best restaurant in the world, with 3 Michelin stars), chef Albert Adrià showed him that “the impossible can be done at once and that miracles take a little longer to arrive”, and he has adhered to this extreme approach throughout his career.

His work experience stands out for the opening of a project in the United Arab Emirates at the hands of Sheik Majed Al-sabah in Kuwait, his work in hotels such as the Claris 5* Gran Lujo hotel in Barcelona, and the opening of the St. Regis Hotel in Doha, and in Qatar as executive pastry chef in 2013.
Since 2015, Hans Ovando has dedicated himself to international training and has traveled the world teaching pastry and sharing all his knowledge.
